Prominent residents[edit]

The list of prominent present and former residents should be pruned of those not notable by Wikipedia standards, to avoid WP:BLP violations in the form of incorrect information, and to avoid all sorts of non-notable persons being added to the list.We do not allow such arbitrary lists of residents of a town. WP:BIO is the standard for notability. It does not seem necessary that every person actually have a Wikipedia article about him, but references are needed to verify the information and to help establish notability.
