Move Christian Democratic Center to Christian Democratic Centre[edit]

The result of the proposal was No Move. Also, this party is not from a country where British English is the native language, so as per Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style#National_varieties_of_English, the dialect of the first contributor is to be used unless there's a considerable expansion of the article in another dialect.--Hús ö nd 14:55, 5 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Survey - in support of the move[edit]

Support, as explained above. I wanted to change the title into Christian Democratic Centre also in order to make it coherent with the title of the article of CCD's successor party, the Union of Christian and Centre Democrats. Survey - in opposition to the move[edit]

Oppose centre is not more "correct" since it's not an English language based party. WP policy says in articles like this, to use the standard that the articles creator used. Discussion[edit]

This case[edit]

I don't think this is just the usual case of British vs American English; in this case, we've got an article on the UDC which uses "centre", and a very much related article (this one) which should therefore use the same type of English.
