Answer: As you see from the link to the library database, it would seem that he most commonly used the form Christian S. Oftedal, a format sometimes used by Norwegian public figures, analogous to Carl I. Hagen and Jan P. Syse.--Barend (talk) 10:26, 25 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
