Ram Tough V10[edit]

Just how rare is the Ram Tough V10? I know there's a Ram 2500 nearby, looks to be a second generation, with a V10 badge. Ahanix1989 05:58, 23 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Contrary to an older revision of this article, there is no such engine as the "Ram Tough V10". The engine was known as the Magnum 8.0L V10. It is possible that the phrase "Ram Tough V10" was used in some advertisements or perhaps in some promotional literature, but it was not the engine's official designation. Beyond that, I do not have production figures. I don't recall seeing many V10-equipped Rams on the roads of CO, OR, WA, IL, or MI during the years they were offered. —Scheinwerfermann (talk) 22:02, 23 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Purpose/Effect of EGR is incorrect[edit]

Crop duster engine?[edit]

I'm reading along, and I come to the fact that apparently "A crop duster version of this engine was available until 1991". WTF is a "crop duster version"? Was it used in crop dusting aircraft? Why do people insist on using slang and technical jargon on so many of these pages, just assuming that every reader will know exactly what they are talking about? I've never heard of a "crop duster" engine before, and I know a fair amount about engines. If the reader DOES know what a "crop duster" variant of a Chrysler V8 is, he probably wouldn't be reading this article, because he's probably a total Mopar fan and knows all about the history of every engine already. Of the two, I would think that the article would be of more use to a person who DOESN'T know about Mopar engines, but they aren't going to learn very much if the information is given in terms that will only be understood to "members of the club"..45Colt 05:04, 2 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

5.2L Magnum V8 wrong dates.[edit]

The 5.2L 318ci Magnum V8 was used in the Dodge Dakota in 1993. (It might've been a special order option?) Although I can't find any references, my truck has that motor. Creepthenight (talk) 03:29, 1 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
