Notable people[edit]

I have added Isaac Deutscher to this section. In the English-language world, he is probably the best-known person from Chrzanow. Now somewhat forgotten, during the 50s and 60s he was one of the world's most prominent journalists, authors and scholars dealing with the questions of the Soviet Union, marxism and the state of Israel. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.206.145.56 (talk) 08:01, 21 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I have added Duvid Halberstam. Though virtually unknown beyond the small circle of the Chrzanow Jewish survivors, I believe he deserves a note. Himself having been one of the most distinctive inhabitants of the town in late XIXth century, as a founder of a rabbinic dynasty he has also shaped the life of a huge section of the Chrzanow population for almost a century. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.206.145.56 (talk) 16:25, 21 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
