Trukic is the old name. In current literature it is referred to as "Chuukic". Suggest name change with Chuukic as primary name and "Trukic" as alternate name. Rentzb0711 (talk) 19:01, 15 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Pohnpeic language is a separate subgroup from Trukic-Ponapeic. It is a useful linguistic distinction since Pohnpeic has several unique innovations that are different from the Trukic (Chuukic subgroup). This page should not be merged with Trukic-Ponapeic. There should be three separate groups: 1.) Chuukic-Pohnpeic and its two daughters 2.) Pohnpeic and 3.) Trukic. All three are useful pages for linguistic purposes and have unique information to give. -Rentzb0711 (talk) 10:03, 12 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
