Redirect of Cirque glacier to Cirque[edit]

Cirque glacier is a distinct type of glacier, with each glacier type needing an article. A cirque is a related, but separate thing (it's the landform type, which may or may not include a glacier). Redirecting Cirque glacier to Cirque [1] [2], without discussion, is not acceptable. It requires discussion and consensus of other editors. --Aude (talk) 04:27, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I redirected it because it was a stub of 2 sentences, it didn't seem worth its own article. All cirques were formed glacially, even if there's no glacier there today. Now that you've expanded it a little - and certainly much more expansion is possible - it probably doesn't need merging. The way, the truth, and the light 04:44, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
See glacier morphology for more details on types of glaciers. There's still a lot of work to be done, but should eventually have good articles on all types of glaciers. There are plenty of potential sources to use for this article [3] [4]. --Aude (talk) 04:47, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Looks good Aude..thanks!--MONGO 06:55, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
