Bad article[edit]

This article misrepresents a fiction (and one of recent origin) as if it were fact. Furthermore, the contributing editor seems not to know that Carlyon is simply an Anglicization (originally, a Gallicization) of the Welsh city Caerleon, the Roman Castra Legionum at the old site of Isca Augusta in southern Wales, which Geoffrey of Monmouth faultily characterized as Arthur's capital. It has nothing to do with "lions", or with Lyonesse. RandomCritic 13:46, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Excuse me, but I am fully aware of the etymology of Caerleon. For a google search mentioning "City of Lions" in connection with Lyonesse, please go here [1]. TharkunColl 15:32, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The point is that the article asserts that "Carlyon" is a name for a drowned city off Cornwall, which is simply not the case. What you know personally is irrelevant; what matters is what's in the article. RandomCritic 16:50, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Whether or not it existed, there is a legend to that effect. TharkunColl 17:44, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'm making this a redirect to Lyonesse. It is unsound, unsourced, and contains nothing of worth that can't be included in the main article. Enaidmawr (talk) 00:21, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Not the same article as originally started[edit]

Page seems to have started life as completely different subject - a drowned city off Cornwall (see previous discussion) but was changed on 6 January 2013 by an anonymous IP to start this article about a band (?) This was then added to over the years. I started off by trying to find links to this page as an Orphan but so far without success. Also no references and any links given are dead, so all needs verification: may fail WP:notability? May even be a disruptive edit that has taken on a life of its own...? Needs more experienced eyes!.
