list of tie-ins[edit]

The list out-dated, here's the Marvel checklist. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.61.96.58 (talk) 21:49, 24 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

a new article[edit]

i know some might propose to merge this in the Civil War (comic book) article, but this is a post civil war event that will basically focus on marvel's superhero "initiative" program so its more on the "initiative" process of superheroes rather than the civil war itself †Bloodpack† 17:43, 28 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

One-shot or tie-ins...?[edit]

So, is the article about the One-shot, or is it about the Initiative as a Marvel event...? --Mrph 22:23, 6 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

well basically its a one-shot, something like the Illuminati (one-shot) we had, that will introduce all the related tie-ins about the post-civil war event. more like a "pre-requisite/introductory" issue prior to post-civil war storylines for new avengers, mighty avengers, thunderbolts, omega flight †Bloodpack† 13:57, 7 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My impression is that the tie-ins have become more relevant than the one-shot. Shouldn't we make the Initiative "event" the main subject of this article and integrate the one-shot into it? -- Martin de la Iglesia 16:52, 25 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Merge into 'Civil War (comic book)' - No consensus[edit]

As noted in Talk:Civil War (comic book), there's currently no consensus to merge the two articles. It may perhaps be appropriate to revisit this once the 'post-war arc' of titles with the Initiative banner have been published. --Mrph 06:56, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Focus[edit]

Can we change the focus of this article from being about a single tie-in issue instead to an article about the actual 50-State Initiative, which doesn't yet appear to have an article? It would be nice to cover which states are covered by which teams, for instance. --Chris Griswold () 11:09, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That's what I'm saying. I noticed that even Major events of the Marvel Universe links here. I started to rewrite the article, but someone with more knowledge about CWI should complete it, especially the box. --Martin de la Iglesia 15:24, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Errr...its not basically about the "tie-ins". Tie-ins are just supporting story arcs to a particular "major event" (i.e. Decimation, House of M, Avengers Disassembled, etc.) I guess what youre all trying to say is that this is a (major) event, right? †Bloodpack† 22:52, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Major" or not, CWI is a crossover event like World War Hulk, which can be seen in shipping lists where they put "CWI" behind some titles just like "WWH" to indicate that they belong to the event. In this case, there seems to be only a single comic book bearing the name of the event, but lots of tie-ins, so speaking about CWI as an event is speaking about these tie-ins. --Martin de la Iglesia 07:32, 2 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Cw init.jpg[edit]

Image:Cw init.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
