Primary topic?[edit]

Why is wiki directing Claire Williams searches to some paralympian? Claire Williams of Williams F1 is surely of higher profile, and if the search is not directing to the disambiguation page, it should be directing to Williams F1 Claire Williams rather than some unknown paralympian. Especially considering paralympian's first claim to fame was competing at 2004 paralympics. Claire Williams was a celebrity by birth and was involved with the Williams F1 team from 2002.

If people want to argue Williams F1 CW should not be primary direct that is fine, send the search to disambiguation page. But with all due respect, F1 CW has achieved significantly more by breaking into a predominantly male sport and establishing herself as a formidable leader. I am fairly certain 95% of searches for CW are opting to redirect to the F1 CW.

I've left a note at Talk:Claire Williams pointing to this discussion. DH85868993 (talk) 09:36, 12 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I don't have a feel for the notability of the Paralympian, so I'd support Claire Williams becoming a disambiguation page. DH85868993 (talk) 10:25, 12 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
While neither of them are that notable in the grand scheme of things, between the two of them the F1 team boss is easily the primary topic. Google has F1 Claire the clear favourite, and last month's page views has her on 9200 vs 558 for the Paralympian. I'd simply swap the articles around, with the other article moving to Claire Williams (paralympian). QueenCake (talk) 00:48, 14 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I've moved Claire Williams to Claire Williams (athlete) ("athlete" seems to be the standard disambiguator for Paralympic athletes) and converted Claire Williams to a disambiguation page. If one of the two Claires is subsequently identified as the primary topic, Claire Williams can be redirected to the relevant article. DH85868993 (talk) 08:30, 16 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Category[edit]

I notice this article is in Category:Formula One team owners. I know Claire Williams is deputy team principal of the Williams Formula One team, but does she actually own any part of the team? DH85868993 (talk) 14:14, 29 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I've removed it per WP:V / WP:BLP. - Sitush (talk)

Biographical Details[edit]

Making a note: Claire Williams was actually managing the team for at least one season. She was featured in the broadcast feed quite a bit. Then she kind of disappeared, presumably for family reasons, but no explanation was given. It would be good to note that she did manage the team. F1 is a tight-lipped operation and so are the teams, but if I come across a reliable source on this, I will update. Arcanista (talk) 15:56, 31 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
