re. Notable players

Looking for some guidance finishing off this section. Happy with the list provided in that they are all certainly 'notable' to the Louth GAA community and to keener followers of the sport throughout the country. Due to time constraints would like to avoid having to create individual wikipedia pages for those on the list that don't already have one. Moresthepity (talk) 01:30, 15 March 2023 (UTC)

Hi. If/as the intended scope of that list is "club members who are Louth senior inter-county footballers", I've updated the section heading (and the WP:LISTCRITERIA "intro") to clarify that. Otherwise, "notable players" doesn't really work (because not all of the members have their own article to the extent that notability is verifiably and unequivocally demonstrated). Thanks. The only issue here is that Staunton almost certainly never played for the county senior team, as he left for England aged 17. I suppose he doesn't really need to be in the list, even though he helped the club win one of their eight county titles. Perhaps section title could be tweaked or his name removed and perhaps referred to somewhere else within the article instead as 'trivia' or 'famous supporters'? re.WP:SECONDMENTION issue

was just trying to avoid repetition in the way each new sentence/paragraph begins and not always start with "the club won" or "the Clans won" etc. Thought it was ok to use the "Castletown men" given that the placename is referred to in Catchment area section, but accept your point and will leave as is.
