Total Rebuild[edit]

I am reverting the major edits that took place on September 30, 2010. The anonymous IP user who is attempting to do a "total rebuild" of this page should, in my opinion, rebuild the page in user-space and then merge into this page after reaching consensus with other editors. In particular, during the "rebuild", the user removed references and a wealth of information that was sourced and relevant. Also, the anonymous IP user who made the edits does not seem to have a complete grasp of Wikipedia's style guidelines (WP:MOS). Let's discuss changes to this article here before they are made on the page in such a drastic fashion. I am more than willing to improve this article, but not at the expense of tearing apart the original.  Amit  ►  13:15, 1 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, nevermind. I'm not going to revert the entire edit, but I will be changing a lot of it to follow WP:MOS.  Amit  ►  13:17, 1 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I would hope that any re-write of the history of the Center would include the story about the cost overruns and architectural problems that had to be overcome during construction of the project. IIRC, this project at the time was the largest single contract that had ever been let by the State of Maryland.~~ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.195.154.9 (talk) 14:16, 7 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Removed section on UMD alumni[edit]

I really don't like to delete material, but this does not belong in the article as it has nothing to do with the Clarice Smith Center. I copy it below in case some more appropriate home can be found for it. Archelon (talk) 17:49, 31 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
