Comments[edit]

The parking section doesn't seem to fit in with what I've seen on other wiki articles.

It seems very rushed and casual and featured a misspelled word - during - which I fixed.

However, it just doesn't seem to fit.

Things to Do 2007[edit]

I can't believe that such a great place has such a meager article! Penguins of today, I urge you to

  • Clean up the text of my hurried additions
  • Add a nice photo of the Chime Tower
  • See if someone can get more details about this tower's inner workings
  • Update the current student count to include a breakdown by full and part-time folks

Thanks! - Rorybowman 17:20, 18 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[added 8/26/2007] ————————————————————————————————

I added Dennis Hayes to the notable alumni. How can you be a penguin and not know this? I added a link to the Alumni Association as a reference.

I also would like to see Sam Elliot up there. I was told he attended, but I don't know when or where you would verify this. Possibly someone could get a hold of the admissions records, or contact Barbara Kerr, Director of Communications. I'm sure she would love anything that brings attention to the college. I'm not sure if she's still there though, since it's been a couple years.

Well, good luck,

80 acres is definitely not 320 km^2! I felt the urge to fix it. Braaropolis

Watch for vandalism[edit]

There have been two IPs that are asserting that Andrew Ford is the president, rather than Bob Knight. Please keep an eye out for them. Noliver (talk) 18:40, 15 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

infobox[edit]

this needs the Universities info box.

Associated Students of Clark College[edit]

I am working on a historical listing of class / ASCC presidents from Clark College as well as the history of Oswald the Penguin. —Preceding unsigned comment added by BGinOC Currently a Penguin (talkcontribs) 11:15, 17 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Photo of the Tech Center[edit]

If someone could add a (fair use) photo of the tech center in East Vancouver, that would be great. Currently that campus is not even mentioned in the article. Rytyho usa (talk) 19:54, 2 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Clark College (Washington)Clark College – There is only one "Clark College" (although there used to be another that changed its name in 1988 and there is also a "Clark University") ElKevbo (talk) 04:50, 3 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This is a contested technical request (permalink). Anthony Appleyard (talk) 05:09, 3 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, it turns out that it wasn't uncontroversial. Thanks for moving it here! To clarify why I think that there doesn't need to be a disambiguation page for "Clark College" and that the community college in Washington should have that title, it is the only college with that name and that has been the case for forty years. One of the institution that is now Clark Atlanta University changed its name in 1988 and it's highly unlikely that readers are searching for that university using a name that's forty years old. Clark University has never been named Clark College so it's also unlikely that readers will search for it using that name. There is some possibility of confusion but that warrants a hatnote on the appropriate articles and not the current disambiguation. ElKevbo (talk) 05:14, 3 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose Clark College (Atlanta) gets more hits in GBooks. In ictu oculi (talk) 11:10, 3 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • I agree with the change. It is the only current college with this name. That other educational institutions formerly went by the name of Clark College warrants a hatnote, but does not require a disambiguation as is currently the case. Rytyho usa (talk) 00:28, 4 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per nom. Clark Atlanta has not been known as such for long enough that there really only is one current use of "Clark College". Dohn joe (talk) 21:55, 4 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. There is no other article on WP that would use the title Clark College. Station1 (talk) 22:39, 4 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support and move Clark College to Clark College (disambiguation), since it's still useful to have. -- Necrothesp (talk) 14:35, 7 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
