Multiple Issues[edit]

The Article has Multiple Issues

  1. It is not written from a WP:NPOV. It seems to have been written predominantly by one person and the aim seems to be to convince the reader that a Dam should not be built at this Location for environmental reasons. In addition, it seems the Caves are located on Private Property and several land owners have a vested interest in the Dams not being built which would destroy their Agricultural land holdings.
  2. The Article seems to be mostly a copy-paste from http://www.savecliefdencaves.org.au/ where many of the same sources are also used. It appears there has been little first-hand research in the construction of the Article, the majority of the content is from the aforementioned site.
  3. There are enormous blocks of quotes in the Article. These really need to be shortened and referenced instead of quoted ad-verbatim where they add no additional value.

The Article has a low number of irregular contributors so I will continue to attempt to clean-up the Article if there are no responses within a couple of days. PookeyMaster (talk) 05:09, 20 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

quite possibly, but it still describes the issue and I've added links ... Dave Rave (talk)

What content is appropriate?[edit]

  1. Refs: I have added refs to Osborne 1978 & Turner 2002. But have NOT provided a link to the PDF of Turner's paper at the Helictite web site. BUT both have location maps, and Osborne has detailed cave maps. Some people might feel that this a problem. Do people think these papers should be advertised here. They are both important sources for anyone interested in the details of the cave area.
  2. Citations needed: I modified the length given for Taplow, and cited Osborne. If there is a more recent source than Osborne, please indicate it. Someone needs to provide a ref to support the claim of "one of the most cavernous limestone areas". KenG44 (talk) 01:16, 27 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
