Ahiohill

The article Ahiohill seems to describe a housing development just outside Clonakilty, and I would think that it should be merged into the main Clonakilty article Flowerpotman 12:02, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

What are you on?

Ahiohill is about 15mins from Clonakilty-it is hardly 'just outside Clonakilty!'. In fact, it is closer to Bandon. Ahiohill boasts its own school, its own GAA team and its own church. Line 3: The town is on the southern coast of the island

What island is that? If it's Ireland it seems an odd phrase to use. Suggest saying, The town is on the southern coast of Ireland. Spathaky (talk) 11:43, 29 November 2010 (UTC)

Promo/guidebook flourishes

This article has a number of tonal issues which run contrary to the guidelines on neutral tone and promotional/guidebook-ish editorial. For example, the lead (without supporting cites) talks about "vibrant culture", the history section about an area "rich in ancient monuments", venues which provide a "thriving melting pot of musicians", the model railway village as "an excellent way to start a tour of the region", and sports clubs as having "12 wonderful years" of activity. This type of editorial and commentary may be appropriate for a tourist guidebook. But this project isn't one. Unless these issues can be addressed in the normal course of editing, I will take a stab at improving. Guliolopez (talk) 19:34, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
