Comme des Garcons, despite having a French name, is actually Japanese. It was started in Tokyo in 1969 by Rei Kawakubo.

Why do they sometimes call themselves Commes des Garçons[1]? Guerrilla marketing?--87.162.6.252 (talk) 15:49, 13 November 2009 (UTC)

Why Destroyed

It says "Comme des Garçons's clothes were often destroyed," but why? Because the clothes were black and the fabric distressed? Lots of fashion is black in colour.--Timtak (talk) 05:05, 3 April 2009 (UTC)

Unfinished sentence?

The "History" paragraph states:

"After the Paris debut, Comme des Garçons exhibited photographs by Peter Lindbergh at the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris in 1986 consisting of."

I assume the "consisting of" shouldn't be the end of the sentence. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.159.232.209 (talk) 07:48, 13 October 2010 (UTC)
