Common Stock

What is common stock to a corporation? An asset, liability, revenue, expense, or owner's equity.

How can common stock be made "non-voting"? It can, but how?

Ordinary shares

This is the term used under International Financial Reporting Standards and is what most people will be familiar with.

What is common stock on the accounting T-charts (and balance sheets)?

Is common stock a liability or "owners equity/net worth/stock holders equity" <--(all three the same thing)? The equation is (current assets + non-current assets) = (current liabilities + non-current liabilities) + OE/NW/SE. Killer Swath 18:02, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
