Prior to edit. this page stated that "The Coneheads" was never a sketch on SNL. This is an error. I will add a discussion of the first Coneheads sketch when I have had an opportunity to check sources like Hill & Weingrad or "Live from New York."

I actually hate this so i'm proposing to delete the coneheads article.Meltzer 17:26, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

spelling of homeworld?

I have before me a VHS tape with parts of the animated special on it. One of the titles spells the name of the Coneheads' homeworld as "Remulak". Can we get more info on this so we can cite it? --Damian Yerrick (talk | stalk) 01:56, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

Conehead skulls

There's in existence a number of so-called conehead skulls which have been speculated to be of extraterrestrial origin (see also starchild skull) which we might also have an article about. __meco (talk) 16:08, 18 November 2008 (UTC)

State Farm commercial 2015

There is currently a State Farm insurance TV commercial featuring Dan Akroyd and Jane Curtain as the coneheads. I don't know who plays the daughter. If it's not Laraine Newman, it should have been. :) 98.248.6.197 (talk) 00:53, 12 July 2015 (UTC)

Was this on Google Maps at one time?

I swear I saw an actual Remulac, France on Google Maps, and my wife remembers me showing it to her. Now I can't find it. Was it maybe a joke or intended to catch plagiarism? "Other Formats" Section is Irrelevant

The section about the East German Olympic lugers' helmets is irrelevant to this as they appeared in February 1976, almost a year before the first Coneheads sketch on SNL, and don't appear to have any connection with the characters. The shape of the helmet was clearly intended to provide improved aerodynamics. The similarity to the Coneheads' heads would seem to be merely coincidental. Furthermore, everything I can find indicates it was the West German team that wore the egg-shaped helmets, not the East Germans. I propose this section be deleted. I second that. It was the West German team using these helmets, not the East German team. It was only to improve aerodynamics, since the East Germans dominated this sport at this time and the West Germans wanted to catch up.
