Refrain from adding time lengths[edit]

Until the album is distributed through the market, or until a source can be presented that is not a torrent site, or where the time lengths of the song can be shown, refrain from adding any time lengths to this article. Amongst doing so, your edit will immediately be reverted.--F-22 RaptörAces High 23:12, 23 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Professional reviews[edit]

We all know that there are going to be lots of reviews for this album and that some of them will be unavoidably omitted for this article (10 is the maximum). The only reference we have for the Mojo, Q Magazine and Uncut reviews is a link from Any Decent Music (http://www.anydecentmusic.com/review/1662/Congratulations.aspx) which does not provide sufficient info such as editor, page and issue of the magazine.

I have gathered a bunch of other reviews which are available online and could replace those three if nobody is able to provide the required info. BBC Music: http://www.bbc.co.uk/music/reviews/fqcg

The Fly: http://www.the-fly.co.uk/words/reviews/album-reviews/7418/album-review:-mgmt

About.com: http://altmusic.about.com/od/reviews/fr/mgmt-congratulations.htm

The Sydney Morning Herald: http://www.smh.com.au/entertainment/music/mgmt--congratulations-20100401-rh92.html

Please add any official reviews you find online here so that we can decide on which of them to include in the article. --Spacealigned (talk) 14:27, 4 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Here is Allmusic review: http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=10:gzfrxzrsldte I think it must be included. Ferrumoff (talk) 13:15, 14 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Allmusic, as much as I loathe them, their review is rather an important one. Should we consider replacing Q for Allmusic then based on the argument stated above?--F-22 RaptörAces High 13:21, 14 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Released on the 12th April[edit]

Perhaps only in the UK, the album was released yesterday, not today. There were adverts in NME stating the release as the 12th, and it was available in high street shops from the 12th.

It's normal for new albums to be released in the UK on a Monday (the 12th was a Monday). Tuesday seems more normal in the US. 82.43.158.82 (talk) 12:26, 16 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Lady Dada's Nightmare[edit]

Someone created an article for this song, which I redirected here because I don't think it makes any sense to have an article for a song that wasn't a single. The text of the article is below if anyone wants to incorporate it here.Prezbo (talk) 20:29, 24 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Lady Dada's Nightmare is the eighth track from American psychedelic rock band MGMT's sophomore album Congratulations. It is unique in being the only instrumental track so far released by the band and also for its awkward major to minor chord changes, instrumentation altered by studio effects and its horror-themed screaming sounds which come in about halfway through the piece. The title of the track was inspired by musician Lady Gaga after MGMT's Andrew VanWyngarden developed a new found appreciation for her creative music videos and propensity to expose the avant-garde to the mainstream media.

Blacklisted Links Found on the Main Page[edit]

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request it's removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.
