Valsalva maneuver[edit]

Article says: "The Valsalva maneuver assists in lifting, excretion, pushing, birthing, and, when uncontrolled, it can lead to stammering or stuttering [1]."

No. The cause of stuttering is actually unknown, and among the literally dozens of modern theories under investigation, the "Valsalva hypothesis" isn't even one of the better-accepted ones. The theory is essentially the thesis of a single person---not a PhD, not even an SLP---whose website I see is the statement's single citation. Note that the "Valsalva hypothesis" isn't even mentioned in Wikipedia's Stuttering article, presumably because that article is regularly policed by stuttering experts.

At the very least, this sentence should be changed to say "some believe that, when uncontrolled...", but really it's misleading to even include stuttering in the list of behaviors associated with the Valsalva maneuver, given that this association is speculation without widespread medical/scientific support.

Proposed merge with Trunk (anatomy)[edit]

Comment - Perhaps the page [i.e. the "(Anatomy)" dab] needs to be renamed. Imo, the subject matter should only be presented as "anatomy" if there is suitable reliable sourcing that "the core" is essentially a recognized *anatomical* concept.
