Pronunciation?[edit]

Does anyone know how "Cote" is pronounced? Koberulz 04:30, 30 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

While watching the supplemental material on the 3rd season DVD's of NCIS, I noticed that everyone talking about her pronounced her name as if it rhymes with "Cody". Bfallingstar 23:41, 23 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The name is pronounced Co-Tay but she has it Co-Tee (Cody) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.176.2.189 (talk) 00:34, 20 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Depends where you come from. Where I grew up we pronounce Co-Tay and Co-Tee as written, with a "t" in the middle, not a "d". – ukexpat (talk) 21:49, 29 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I pronounce it like Cody, but the correct pronounciation is Co-tay. CotesGirl (talk) 13:11, 16 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Citation needed for her birthdate?[edit]

Cote de Pablo's birthdate is listed the same as on IMDb. For some strange reason, someone tagged this entry as needing a citation. She is listed as graduating with a degree in 2000. If you do the math (2000 - 1979 = 21), Cote would have graduated at just about the right age for a normal person.

Please sign your comments. Unless there is some reason to dispute the age, then there's no need for a citation as most biographical articles don't do this. If someone can provide evidence that there is some dispute over her birthdate, then that's another matter, as there are people whose birthdates are disputed (Humphrey Bogart is one example). Otherwise such information is usually pretty cut-and-dried. 23skidoo 16:41, 5 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
A few days ago, this article had no date of birth listed, just the year which was shown as 1979. I couldn't find the age listed anywhere on the internet so I added this page to the category for 'Date of birth missing'. Incredibley, within hours of doing this someone added a date. Because of the short time this took to appear (if it was that easy to get hold of, why wasn't it already put there?) and the fact that I couldn't find ny own source after a long time of searching, I suspected that the information could be false. Therefore I requested a citation for it. Incidentally the year itself remains debatable as it only appears on IMDB.com (not a good source as they don't always request proof) and you don't have to have been 21 in 2000 in order to be a degree graduate (just no younger). I will again re-request the citation for the age. May I respectfully ask that it remains there until the information has been verified as per Wikipedia guidelines. Thanks. ~~ Peteb16 18:16, 5 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds fair enough to me. Has anyone checked the fan sites for dates? 23skidoo 21:56, 5 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well I graduated from university when I was still 20, with 2 or 3 months to spare. It all depends when your birthday is in relation to the academic year. -- Arwel (talk) 00:39, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hebrew?

Query: Is Cote Jewish? She does a great job on the Hebrew speaking.

No, she's not. She got a Hebrew coach. I looked for you, and found an article in the Jerusalem Post. It's here: http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?cid=1167467801497&pagename=JPost%2FJPArticle%2FPrinter because I don't know how to do links or whatever. 65.33.21.135 (talk) 08:16, 21 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's raining men[edit]

"'because 'she's been around men all her life; she's used to men in authority. She's not afraid of men.'"? At the risk of making Cote sound like an idiot (which would be too bad, 'cause I adore Ziva ;D ), I think that applies equally to, oh, Gibbs (at least...) & probably to Abby too. (McGee, I'm not so sure. {Sorry, Sean.}) TREKphiler hit me ♠ 13:53, 15 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Did you pose a question? Otherwise...
I'd like to see a citation for this statement, regardless of the [insert judgement] statement. Unfortunately, I don't know how to do that.

MySpace?[edit]

Does anyone know if that MySpace link is legit? --71.136.244.12 (talk) 06:03, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Curious about that too? Anyone know if it is the real De Pablo's myspace? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.17.110.20 (talk) 23:32, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
fake as hell 79.202.91.244 (talk) 20:42, 10 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I removed it, it has all the hallmarks of a fake account, plus its pretty dormant. --Uksam88 (talk) 17:32, 17 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Good move. She has commented negatively about social media's affect on privacy, so that alone would make it doubtful. rags (talk) 20:19, 29 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Pittsburg of the South[edit]

This article states: "When de Pablo was ten, her mother, María Olga Fernández, received a job in Miami, Florida, at a Spanish-speaking television network. There, de Pablo attended Arvida Middle School, New World School of the Arts (where she studied musical theater), and then Carnegie Mellon University..." As written, this infers that Carnegie Mellon is in Miami, which isn't where it was the last time I was there. Jmdeur (talk) 21:05, 29 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

How does it look now? – ukexpat (talk) 22:00, 29 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Official Site?[edit]

I was wondering if the listed "official" site is actually an official site. As is stated in the disclaimer at the site itself: "It was created by fans for fans as a place to enjoy and find information on Ms. Cote de Pablo." And on the about page: "CdP.Net was created in February of 2006, after the webmistress found it was almost impossible to find any Cote information online, so she has made it her mission to find and gather as much information, images and news together as she can." I have found nowhere that this site is approved of by Cote de Pablo herself. Therefore I wouldn't say it's her official site. It is a great site, nonetheless, but still no official site in my opinion. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Chocolatery (talkcontribs) 18:00, 30 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Fansite? Not valid, and thus turfed. Tabercil (talk) 18:59, 30 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

NCIS carrer[edit]

de Pablo is the Amazing actor who plays Ziva David in the TV hit NCIS. Since introduced, Cote has added a livley caracter and a great team member. She has small romances with tony dinnozo and is the newly worshiped and know character —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.130.147.95 (talk) 23:49, 6 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Recent Work?[edit]

Although she returned to NCIS for a couple guest spots a few years back and did that mining disaster movie years almost a decade ago, she doesn't appear to have done much professionally since she left NCIS fulltime. This article talks about a couple projects like M.I.A. that seemed to have gone nowhere, but again pre-COVID. Is she still in the business and if so doing what? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:801:300:7520:9512:EC7:525B:8BD4 (talk) 00:23, 9 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Personal life[edit]

is completely missing (relationships etc.) --77.4.62.246 (talk) 18:41, 10 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

She's not very forthcoming about her personal life, as is her right. rags (talk) 20:27, 29 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Picasa images[edit]

Hi all, while in the course of my ongoing mission to add quality images to articles I found a set of fairly high quality images of Cote de Pablo on Picasa by Steven Swafford. But before I add them I was hoping for a little help researching whether or not the copyrights to these images are actually owned by Mr. Swafford. Any help would be appreciated, thanks! — Nicoli Maege (talk) 15:34, 12 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I very much doubt that he owns the copyright to any of those images. For example, a quick Tineye search on one of the Juliette Lewis images throws up this page which clearly shows they are from a professional shoot.--ukexpat (talk) 15:49, 12 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Coté surely?[edit]

The page lists her as just "Cote" in the lead but "Coté" in her early life. Which is right? '''tAD''' (talk) 01:16, 23 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Coté. See native (ES) WP. --Why should I have a User Name? (talk) 21:56, 13 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Interesting. I'm not finding that anywhere else. I wonder if they are just following convention where they publish, rather than dePablo's practice. HER OWN use would be definitive, rather than that of the hispanic media, wherever they originate. rags (talk) 20:34, 29 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

NCIS Season 17[edit]

Can this be noted on page? Also can her appearance in the season 16 finale be mentioned?[1] Emily (talk) 02:03, 22 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Informations from the German article[edit]

Hi! I'm the author of Cote's German article. Unfortunately my English is not so good to revise this article, but perhaps someone else can use the references of the German article and the pictures from there to expand the English article about Cote de Pablo. Best regards from Austria --Stefan97 (talk) 10:49, 4 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
