Proposed Clonoulty merger[edit]

The article on Clonoulty is not substantial. I've proposed this instead of doing it myself because I don't know if it's in the town of Tipperary or just the county. Talk amongst yourselves. Howdybob 21:21, 5 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Tipperary Crest.gif[edit]

Image:Tipperary Crest.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. Images in the article.[edit]

Yes, County Tipperary is most beautiful but the amount of images in the article seems a bit OTT doesn't it? Especially when you compare it to the amount of info in the article. --OfTheGreen (talk) 12:28, 25 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

One or two "county towns"?[edit]

I see this article lists both Nenagh and Clonmel as county towns, presumably on the basis that there's council offices in both, and the council meets in each, too. Can a more direct source for this be provided? The various related articles are very inconsistent on this, and none of them seem to have an up-to-date source. Would you kindly stop opening multiple discussions on the same topic? You have opened similar discussions at Dungarvan, County Town, County Tipperary, County Waterford, List of urban areas in the Republic of Ireland by population ‎and WT:IE. It's hardly inappropriate to raise discussion of sourcing an article on that article's talk page. A source for the above would be independent of Waterford -- and I expressly linked to the existing discussion, so it's not as if I'm trying to keep it a big secret. It's true you should keep a discussion in one place if you can so that all trying to research can see it in one place. You could open another section if you feel you should, however, this is not a reprimand, it is just letting you know what goes more smoothly in a discussion.
