US only?[edit]

Seems to be only mentioning US states and laws. Will add UK. 29/03/2020 1856 GMT+1 (BST)

Amber[edit]

Removed References to Amber lights. Amber lights are not Courtesy lights (requesting right of way) but rather Warning lights. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jared999 (talkcontribs) 15:15, 6 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Laws[edit]

Right now, this section is very general, but if you can find the specific laws in your state, this section can become a useful and informational guide to volunteer firefighters. Ytiugibma (talk) 21:01, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The description of New Jersey's laws is perhaps excessively detailed if it is left as the only state described. This section could be expanded to include a bulleted list of laws by state.Flytrap97 (talk) 03:13, 2 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Potential Danger[edit]

The phrase, "...they do not even significantly decrease response time", should read either '...do not even slightly decrease...', or '...do not significantly decrease...'. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.173.158.194 (talk) 20:12, 22 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Possible state-by-state list[edit]

As suggested by Flytrap97 many years ago, I have created a state-by-state list of lights allowed in each state. It's not perfect right now but I'm looking for feedback if this should be added. Weatherkidnh (talk) 13:46, 4 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
