Merger proposal[edit]

I propose that the unsourced stub Courtyard by Marriott Chennai be merged here. We have no need of articles for individual hotels in this chain. Yunshui  14:41, 6 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Question is there a page at Wikipedia that explains which articles are good candidates for a merge? Ottawahitech (talk) 14:50, 8 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
There's Wikipedia:Proposed mergers, which lists all articles currently under consideration - you might also want to read Wikipedia:Merging#Rationale for an explanation as to what constitutes a good candidate (this one, for example, falls under Text and Context). • Question Why only this one article? What about all the other articles about individual hotels in this chain? Ottawahitech (talk) 15:17, 11 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Valid point. I reckon the Detroit one has sufficient sourcing to stand as an independent article, but I'm going to also propose:
since they are all near-identical, unsourced stubs. If you find any others, feel free to add them here. Yunshui  09:15, 12 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
