HOF[edit]

While I like Biggio as much as the next guy, it's tough to say he's a future HOF without the 'possible' caveat.

Ryne Sandberg is not in the hall of fame.

Astos Daily says that 2004 was a great year for those that "make the case" for his HOF enshrinement. It also says that the case for his enshrinement is a no-brainer based on statistics, but also notes that BBWAA loves round numbers, so bring on 3K hits. http://www.astrosdaily.com/history/biggiohof.html

May be one of the greatest Astros ever--but one of the greatest ever???? Reply: The article fails to mentions Biggio's runs scored total or the huge disparity between his RBI's and runs. He sccored over 1,800 runs, against a little over 1,000 RBI's. The 1,800 runs is 17th all time and every player with over 1,800 runs is in the Hall of Fame. The article also fails to mention that the reason for all the leadoff home runs, and the big runs to RBI disparity, is that Biggio usually batted leadoff. It's very difficult to bat in runs when you're the first batter, or when all the batters ahead of you are the team's worst hitters. He is best known for his ability to get hit by pitches[edit]

Though it's true that he is "second on the career hit-by-pitch list with 277" this line is retarded, in terms of being an introductory, crucial fact about biggio, so i removed it. Can we change the page to reflect his receipt of the 2006 Heart and Hustle award? Hit Total Discrepancy[edit]

Highlight mistake[edit]

"Is the only player in Major League history to have a 20 Home Run – 50 Stolen Base Season (1998)." This isn't true he is the only. Through 2012 there have been 10 seasons where a player hit 24+ HRs and stole at least 50 bases per baseball-reference.com. Rickey Henderson has 3 of those 10 seasons. This section cites Biggio & other players that batted & threw right-handed but wrote left-handed & vice versa.
