The Lead[edit]

Hello, the reference to Ukraine receiving HIMARS and 'so' began the attacks on Crimea is nonsense. Crimea is out of range of HIMARS but it says 'drones' etc anyway. Removed the segment about HIMARS as it is unnecessary to make the point in the lead (and confusing, as we don't have confirmation that it was used at Crimea). It was also just written in an awkward way. 166.196.75.8 (talk) 02:04, 16 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I'm adding in details slowly. USV attack on Sevastopol[edit]

Perhaps that should be made a separate article, as individual battles are often separate articles and I don’t see any specific reasons it leans more toward being part of a larger battle than being a battle in its own right. Of course it should still be mentioned here with a link to the new article as it is still an “attack on Crimea” (ie “attacks on Crimea” being the larger campaign the battle is a part of.)

Edit: I see the proposal for the new article’s name is “ 2022 drone attack on Sevastopol”, but given there have been more than one aerial drone attack on Sevastopol, I think there needs to be something to differentiate this attack from those, and since this was the only USV attack on Sevastopol to date, I think swapping “drone” for “USV” in the articles name is advisable.

Best option would then seem to be Drone attack on the Sevastopol Naval Base to me. I think this one is unambiguous. Super Ψ Dro 17:07, 27 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Both are grammatically correct: the first an attributive noun, the second a derived adjective. There is nuanced difference in meaning: the first is something of or pertaining to Crimea, the place, the second could also refer to something Crimean in character.
