Cristóbal[edit]

Has he ever said to omit the accent? It's unquestionably part of his name as it was in Chile.

Also, is it documented that he uses the name Cristo (Christ, in Spanish) instead of Cristóbal or Christopher? deisenbe (talk) 23:59, 21 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Deisenbe. According to WP:DIACRITICS, in general "follow the general usage in reliable sources that are written in the English language" - and most sources omit the diacritics. He apparently used Cristo for Twitter and SoundCloud, but these are not RS, and the article should refer to him by surname (see below), not nickname or first name, in any case. What is Cristobal Tapia de Veer's last name?[edit]

Is it de Veer or Tapia de Veer? To comply with the standard, this article should refer to the artist by his last name after the initial reference. Listening to the White Lotus soundtrack right now, so good! Dwiki (talk) 00:52, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Dwiki. It looks as if Tapia de Veer is his surname, according to LA Times and this Musicians Union list. As mentioned above, this is the name that should be used to refer to him throughout the article, not Cristo. Laterthanyouthink (talk) 01:41, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
thank you, and I'll add this Vulture article as additional evidence -Dwiki (talk) 17:31, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
