Extraneous dialogues[edit]

The picture where it says downtown cuiabá is not a picture from that place. It is a picture of Círculo de Bellas Artes, in Madrid, Spain.

My answer for the comment:

Thats not true at all...u got a wrong information ;) I live her for a while and I know that what u said is not the reality...all pictures r views of the city... Before saying anything of the article, u should be sure of it! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Juliananrm (talkcontribs) 12:09, 5 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

My comment was made in 2007. At that time there was a picture of Madrid in the article of Cuiabá, so it must have been changed in the meantime. (I can assure that I was pretty sure of it).

Ethymology[edit]

Others say that, while a Portuguese man was once taking a bath in the river using a kind of plate made with half a coconut (named cuia), the stream carried it away, prompting the man to exclaim "Cuia ba" (something like "the cuia is gone"). That sounds as a very late explanation. Is there any linguist supporting that theory? Because otherwise it should either be removed, or stated as some sort of urban legend in stead of the present "Others say that". Fomalhaut76 (talk) 14:01, 25 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
