I have removed the following unverified text because it seems out of place in article about the song and would be better in a article about Barclay Allen (whenever that happens):

Additionally his son is Ronald B. Allen, Th. D. Professor of Hebrew Scriptures and Bible exposition at Dallas Theological Semiany, Dallas Texas.
