Primary sources and notability[edit]

This only has primary sources from DC press releases. There isn't any independent sources cited, which means that notability is not demonstrated. Perhaps this article could be merged with a larger one relating to DC Comics?HenryCrun15 (talk) 20:09, 8 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@HenryCrun15: I was able to find a bunch of sources for each title listed and started new sections (history & reception). I then copied over those sections to DC Graphic Novels for Kids. I'm sure if I spent the time, I could find a similar number of sources for the kids titles. Thoughts on if the article is improved enough to remove the "like an advertisement" template? Thanks! The back cover of the TBP for Superman Smashes the Klan states that this book is a DC Graphic Novels for Young Adults. ( https://www.mycomicshop.com/search?TID=50678861 ) Even DC's own website for the series list this book. ( https://www.dccomics.com/GraphicNovelsForYA ) Shouldn't this book be removed from DC Graphic Novels for Kids and moved to the DC Graphic Novels for Young Adults? @Wnerraw: Just a quick clarification to the links you listed above 1 - the product summary states Softcover, 240 pages, full color. DC Graphic Novels For Kids and 2 states DC Graphic Novels for Kids Novels for YA Available Now. The January solicitation for it also states DC Graphic Novels For Kids. Additionally, the original coverage listed it as part of the DC Zoom imprint (which became DC Graphic Novels For Kids); see 3, 4, 5. They might cross advertise it as middle school/YA but it was originally published by the Kids imprint. My lingering thought on the trade dress picture from 1 is that it is potentially a reprint under the Young Adult imprint (like Supergirl: Being Super) but that would require a stronger source than a single image from a random comic shop. Sariel Xilo (talk) 05:40, 21 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It looks like when they re-released the digital edition (see the change from the original digital publication on Comixology to the June 2020 release; also listed like that on the B&N Nook edition) the imprint switched so I've updated the reprints table. I couldn't find a source date for the physical reprint date so I went with the digital date. Thanks for drawing attention to the trade dress change!
