Image Captioned, "B-29"[edit]

Clearly the Soviet Union did not use an actual American Superfortress to carry the rocket plane to altitude; this is a picture of a Tupolev Tu-4. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 139.60.210.5 (talk) 17:34, 14 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The star is very fat, so it's not white. It's red, so the craft is Soviet. But I wouldn't be so sure: Soviets did get a hand on actual B-29s, that's how they cloned it into Tu-4. They may have kept them operational after that, but, having a lot of unadapted equipment (e.g. Browning MGs firing different ammo than - whatever Tu-4s had), may not have been eligeable for "frontline", but still good for such a task.--46.138.166.55 (talk) 13:28, 29 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
