Oppose. Most country articles are at the common short-form name, not the long-form name (e.g. United States not United States of America). DR Congo is an outlier because there are currently two countries with the short name "Congo". In this case, it's appropriate to use "DR Congo" for WP:CONCISE reasons. The name of the country article isn't always followed (not exactly a 'parent-child' article relationship). For example Palestine national football team vs State of Palestine, Tahiti national football team vs French Polynesia, Macedonia national football team vs Republic of Macedonia, Gambia national football team vs The Gambia, etc. S.A. Support. Why all this deferring to FIFA in national federation naming discussions? That's totally uncalled for per WP:OFFICIALNAME. We use the common name for things, not what some "official" body decides to call them.
