Marvel vs Capcom[edit]

Daken is also one of the secret characters in Marvel vs Capcom 2 that can be unlocked. (He is shown with longer versions of Wolverines claws and they are not mettallic, but resemble bone claws) In this game he is wearing the same costume he wears in the Dark Avengers series...

Uhmm, no. Marvel vs Capcom 2 came out in 2000 (way before Daken was created). In that game there was two selectable Wolverine versions (one with metallic claws and one with bone claws). The upcoming re-release of MvC 2 doesn't add any new characters or change any costumes. The similarity to Daken is just a coincidence.24.190.34.219 (talk) 19:27, 2 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Removed some speculation[edit]

Daken probably does have some superhuman physical capabilities like superhuman senses, strength, stamina, agility, reaction time, etc. like Wolverine has. However, he hasn't shown any of them thus far in his appearances. Daken isn't a clone of Wolverine, so all of his powers might not be identical to those of Wolverine. He might not even have some of them. That's especially true since half of his genetic material comes from his mother Itsu. I admit that I'm not really sure entirely about leaving the superhuman speed reference in there. If I do remember right, Wolverine did say that he moved so quickly that he couldn't see him. Also, indicating that Daken couldn't take his father if Wolverine wasn't holding back by trying to reach him psychologically is POV. There's no evidence, at least not as yet, to suggest that Wolverine could take Daken, unleashed or otherwise.Odin's Beard 00:14, 28 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

LGBT?[edit]

I notice that this page is listed under the LGBTProject, but there is no mention in the article of this character being Gay, Bisexual or Transgendered. Is this simply an oversite or should this be removed?--208.181.91.25 (talk) 18:58, 25 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

He kissed another man in Wolverine: Origins #11, but later killed him. This could, I suppose, be confirmation of his bisexuality (or not, considering the circumstances). Tathunen (talk) 23:01, 18 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The character may be confirmed as bisexual at a later time, but what happened in #11 is too vague. He did lure a guy back to the room, under the pretense of a sexual encounter, but nothing sexual happened. He strangled the guy with his own necktie I believe. Recently in Dark Wolverine # 75 it also implied he fooled around with a man - though he did so in order to obtain top secret info. Later he also makes a pass at Venom - though this could also be a seen as a joke. Basically, Daken has been shown in homosexual situations however it's never shown if this is due to orientation or simply not being above using those situations to his advantage which seems equally as likely.

On two occasions the "Sexual orientation" section has been blanked by new users, which no explanation given. I can only assume it's vandalism, so the section has been restored. If there is consensus to remove the section it should be discussed here first. Until then, I advise people to keep an eye out for continued vandalism.
I think that the section should stay. It is of interest to some readers and is properly cited from several different comics with different writers. Just to add, the writers commented on Daken's sexuality at comic-con. I added the info and source to the article.
Liu said that Daken will "do anyone and anything" to achieve his goals and he's "past that kind of identification. He's beyond it." Way added that Daken's sexuality will be addressed later on, but it's more about his personality. "He's no more homosexual than he is heterosexual. It's about control."

telepathic trap[edit]

This statement is inaacurate, he doesn't navigate the trap. He essentially gets lucky, Xavier states himself that had his psyche not been fragmented (by Sinister trying to take over his body previously) he would have fell victim to the trap. PhoenixPrince (talk) 06:00, 5 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The telepathic trap should also not be confused with his memories being erased. It is stated in several storylines that his psyche was never conditioned or erased as his father's was, but merely brainwashed since childhood into following the will of Romulus without question. Pheromone ?[edit]

Where does the "pheromone" perception-altering thing in the powers & abilities section come from ? I haven't read it anywhere. Concerning his ability to appear outside of someone's field of vision, he clearly states while facing Deadpool in Wolverine : Origins #25 that it isn't thanks to any superhuman power, but only a result of his training by Romulus. The second American Son Spiderman issue, he uses his pheromone based powers to confuse Spidey's spider-sense but also spider-mans depth perception and appear farther away. Don't know the issue number, sorry. Also, the powers and ability section had absolutely no mention of his pheremone based powers so I added a sentence to the end. Hey, shouldn't it be mentioned that Jimmy Hudson from Ultimate Comics: X is the Ultimate Version of Daken???
