Higher standard of quality?[edit]

Unless someone else can explain why this article should be cleaned up, I'm going to delete the notice saying it should. If we are going to tag articles for rework, I'd prefer that we explain why. --D-Day 11:07, 15 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:DEI logo.jpg[edit]

Image:DEI logo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 23:03, 2 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Challenging unreferenced tag[edit]

I was tempted to remove the unreferenced tag, but I will instead challenge it here on the talk page in case the editor had a good reason to use it. On the other hand, I feel that the sourcing and references are consistent with those of other car owner pages. In my eyes, there is no reason for the tag. But again I will give the editor who put it there a couple of months ago the benefit of the doubt. - Desmond Hobson 23:34, 28 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with File:Ganassi Racing.png[edit]

The image File:Ganassi Racing.png is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --21:30, 7 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Merger or takeover[edit]

If this is a merger between DEI and CGRFS then why was the DEI edited? Shouldn't this be it's own article? Hutcher (talk) 20:53, 21 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

GOCE changes[edit]

Hello. As a GOCE member, I have made a good faith major edit of this page. The main corrections were:

  • changing the parts of the content which were promotional to an encyclopaedic style;
  • clarifying some of the terms and the NASCAR 'colloquial language' so that someone unfamiliar to NASCAR can read and understand the page - remembering WP is an encyclopaedia (not a resource for fans) - (I do understand that some of the terms like 'pole wins' would be common in the NASCAR community but they need clarification in WP);
  • improving the syntax, again for readability: for example, the order of phrases within a sentence is important for readability.
  • changing the dates to the standard WP 'date, month, year' order;
  • using 'DEI' consistently, again for ease of reading.
  • removing the foundation staff names for reasons of privacy

I think that the sections could be improved with a review of the table of contents structure but I'll leave this for another day :-) Please leave me a note either here or on my talk page if you would like to comment and then together, we can improve the page. Cheers and happy and safe racing, Myrtle. Myrtlegroggins (talk) 11:31, 26 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
