Lifetime ban for Sappenfield[edit]

According to USA Today's Christine Brennan, Sappenfield has been banned for life from coaching figure skating by the U.S. Center for SafeSport; the decision was rendered earlier today. Brennan acknowledged this in a post on Threads, but I've yet to see a news article from Brennan or anyone else about Sappenfield's lifetime ban.

I'm not sure if the article should be updated as soon as possible, or whether we should wait for a news article to cite before including mention of the ban in the article. AaronCamp (talk) 19:47, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
