Needs discussion of DBU's affiliation with the BGCT. Nice article.

Fair use rationale for Image:DBUniversity.gif

Image:DBUniversity.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Problems with article

  • Independent sources: The University website is not an independent source. References need to be independent from the subject of the article. See WP:RELY
  • Unsourced facts: Some parts have no source at all.
  • Non standard capitalization: Some words or phrases are capitalized. While it may be a valid expression of faith to capitalize "His" referring to one's god, this isn't standard useage. It could possibly be done that way when quoting someone that wrote that way.
  • Details that might not be needed in the article: For example does the article really need a list of all on campus student organizations? Facts like this would be appropriate in the school's own literature and website, but are they important to an encyclopedia? Have they been covered in independent sources? Do we need to know about so many campus buildings? Every degree offered?
  • Peacock terms: It's better to skip terms like "state of the art" unless it's a quote, and even then it might be better to state specificly how it's "state of the art". Another example: what does it mean that the students in honors "engage in a high level of critical thinking"? This is promotional type language. (Not saying it's not true, just that the tone needs to be neutral.) Cloveapple (talk) 17:47, 6 September 2011 (UTC)

Promotional content

The "Student life" section is simply advertising and has absolutely no place in the article. Theroadislong (talk) 15:46, 1 April 2016 (UTC)

It was also copyrighted material so I have removed it again. Theroadislong (talk) 15:52, 1 April 2016 (UTC)
