Reason for creation of Daniel Caldwell page[edit]

The Dan Caldwell page had been prodded on September 3, 2008, because "of the following concern: there do not appear to be reliable sources that support the notability of this person. The notability of his students and others with whom he supposedly appeared on film does not transfer to him" (see [1]). I believe that Caldwell is sufficiently notable to justify a page. Many of the news articles about him during his busiest years are not available online without paying a fee, but there is more than enough reliable material from verifiable sources about the Conservatory Theatre Ensemble and his work there, along with his directing at Marin Shakespeare to support a start article. I changed the prodded page to a redirect since I think that "Daniel Caldwell" is a better page name than "Dan Caldwell", although he was well known both ways. Daniel is the name up on the building named after him and his bio at CTE is under Daniel. Finally, the previous article was almost entirely copied from his CTE bio. They may have been written by the same people, so it may not have been a copyvio, but it was a little hagiographic.--Hjal (talk) 05:07, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

As another Daniel Caldwell, I believe there should be a Daniel Caldwell wiki and support its continued existence. For job-seekers such as myself, having my name visible in the title result of any internet query is desirable. Although the page does not refer to me specifically, the man described seems to have attained achievements noteworthy enough to merit this recognition, in my humble opinion.Alwaysremember (talk) 20:24, 3 August 2010 (UTC)Alwaysremember[reply]

As a candidate for public office, I would also like the Daniel Caldwell page to have a Disambiguation link to make reference to the race for Dallas City Council Dallas_municipal_election,_2015.DCdanielcaldwell 23:53, 27 March 2015 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Alwaysremember (talkcontribs)
