comment[edit]

The burial notification for my grandfather Marsh is not correct, based on incorrect information that Find-a-Grave has listed at its website. Though the words "In Memory of Daniel L. Marsh 1880-1968" appear on the large stone delineating the Marsh family gravesite in Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge, Mass, it was intended only as a memorial. They were added by my father Paul N. Otto after my mother, Marjorie Marsh Otto died in 1991. At that time, Daddy also requested the addition of the names of the remaining family members who were to be interred in the family plot, including its own. Obviously dates of death could not be added at that time, but have been subsequently. Grandpa purchased the plot in 1937 following the sudden death of my grandmother, Harriet Amanda Truxell Marsh, his first wife and the mother of his daughters. She is buried there. The ashes of Grandpa and his second wife, Arline Woodford Marsh, are interred inside the altar rail of the Daniel L. Marsh Chapel on the campus of Boston University. If you need further verification of this info, please contact the Dean of the Chapel at Boston University. I'm sorry, I don't know the name of the current Dean. The last time I visited the Chapel was in June, 1983.

Thank you, Harriet O. St.Amant older daughter of Paul N. and Marjorie Marsh Otto oldest granddaughter of Daniel L. Marsh
