Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... (your reason here) --LvrNPssng (talk) 01:20, 13 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Danielle LoPresti is a notable entertainer and personality, especially in San Diego. She's responsible for one of the city's signature events that California State Assembly Speaker, Toni Atkins credits for revitalizing the neighborhood of North Park. She's been honored by San Diego LGBT Pride for her commitment to the community through the arts, and she's been making positive, socially-conscious, and exceptional music for almost two decades. The question here really shouldn't be why this page should not be deleted, but why it's flagged in the first place. Danielle LoPresti is a rare gem and a personality that is more than deserving of a Wikipedia entry. See below links for support.

Comment[edit]

</sigh> Rather than imply some sort of prejudice in noting the article as non-notable, I would suggest you add the references to the article. As it stands it lacks the support to establish notability. reddogsix (talk) 01:36, 13 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Comment[edit]

Hi... There are currently 8 references/ citations for the article, and more are to come as I continue working on it. Are you not seeing them? They are all credible sources, major newspapers, etc. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by LvrNPssng (talkcontribs) 06:47, 13 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Unless you've got coverage in the New York Times, Billboard and Rolling Stone, I'm not sure this article will survive a full deletion debate. That said, there is a strong grassroots LGBT community at Wikiproject LGBT studies, so one of the regulars there might be able to help. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 09:38, 13 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@LvrNPssng: Okay, having had a look, the San Diego Reader source verifies that Universal Records released an album of hers and she was nominated for Female Singer/Songwriter of The Year for the 21st Los Angeles Music Awards. That passes the dumpy test so I won't be starting a deletion debate. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 11:19, 13 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Ritchie333: Thank you much. I have since added a few more references to further support the article. I have also taken out any remotely sensational language/ adjectives to not make this sound like an advertisement. If there are certain parts of the article that I need to modify specifically, can you please advise? There are also no more external links. I'd love to do whatever necessary to remove that box at the top. Thanks again.
