Hi! I will take up this review. Sainsf <^>Feel at home 04:32, 24 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Lead[edit]

  • Loan spell may be linked to Loan (sports)
  • Can we have money conversion templates wherever possible in the article?
  • both the semi-final and the final. Why is only "final" linked?
  • but injury meant he missed out on both the semi-final and the final. Could be reworded as but missed out on both the semi-final and the final due to injury.
  • What injury was it?
  • Born in England Why is his birthplace repeated? That too here?
  • after a long career You can add how many years long the career was
  • We do not generally keep citations in the lead, I would like them just in the main text. And please ensure that all facts of the lead are also mentioned in the main text.

Playing career[edit]

  • but despite passing his eleven plus exam he was denied entry into Altrincham Grammar School for Boys Could be separated into a new line.
  • His elder brother His name?

Manchester United[edit]

  • and asked to return to Old Trafford I think "was" asked would be clearer
    • No, he himself asked to return to the club.--EchetusXe 17:45, 26 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • However he recovered However, he
  • However following defeat However, following
  • However following defeat in a play-off game Higginbotham was banned from football for a year for his involvement in an attack on referee Amand Ancion by teammate Ronnie Wallwork Can this be split? It would be easier to read

Derby County[edit]

  • Duplinks: Denis Irwin, Premier League, Old Trafford, Southampton

Southampton[edit]

  • Duplinks: Premier League, Southampton
  • on loan until "loan" can be linked as I suggested in the lead
  • fee of £1.5 million. Money conversion?
  • but was an unused substitute for the final against Arsenal. Source?

Stoke City[edit]

  • an initial fee of £225,000 Money conversion?
  • The Potters went seven games Have "Potters" been linked earlier

Sunderland[edit]

  • fee of £2.5 million, possibly rising to £3 million Money conversion?
  • Duplink: Premier League

Return to Stoke City[edit]

  • Duplinks: Premier League, Tony Pulis, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Bolton Wanderer, FA Cup, Newcastle United

Later career[edit]

  • Duplink: Sheffield United
  • After making seventeen appearances Numbers equal to or above 10 are typically kept in digits.

International career[edit]

  • manager, Allen Bula is --> manager, Allen Bula, is
  • Can friendly be linked?

Personal life[edit]

  • entitled: 'Rise of the Underdog'. --> entitled Rise of the Underdog.
  • His first born child, Jak, was born in 2001 --> His first child, Jak, was born in 2001
  • I think the first marriage and his first wife should be mentioned before the children.

That should be all. Good luck! Sainsf <^>Feel at home 15:22, 24 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

OK thanks! What are these money conversion templates?--EchetusXe 17:45, 26 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
EchetusXe Thanks for the response! I have seen money conversion templates being used in some similar articles, but I am clueless about their documentation as well. It is not a GA requirement anyway, so we need not mess with that. And I was asking if you have wikilinked "Potters" anywhere. Sainsf <^>Feel at home 18:00, 26 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
OK cool, would you like me to link "Potters" to Stoke City F.C.?--EchetusXe 18:03, 26 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, that should be proper. That done, I would be glad to promote this article. Sainsf <^>Feel at home 18:04, 26 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
OK, have done that. Many thanks!--EchetusXe 22:40, 27 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
No more issues, I am happy to promote this. Great job! Sainsf <^>Feel at home 05:50, 28 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
