The article makes a credible claim of significance. I can believe that this guy was the highest-scoring defenceman on the University of Illinois-Chicago hockey team; the claim is credible. If he was the highest-scoring defenceman on the University of Illinois-Chicago hockey team, he would be a significant figure in college hockey; the claim implies notability.
