Current edit war[edit]

Due to continued reverting by an anonymous user I have provided clarification on this seasons statistics This is from start of tenure on 6 May 2016 to today (12 March 2017).
Evidence taken from soccerway.com http://uk.soccerway.com/teams/england/hyde-united-fc/4749/
League - P34 W11 D11 L12
FA Cup - P3 W2 D0 L1
FA Trophy - P1 W0 D0 L1
Cheshire SC - P3 W2 D0 L1 (one win was on penalties)
Manchester PC - P1 W0 D0 L1 (one loss on penalties)
Integro League Cup - P1 W0 D0 L1 (one loss on penalties) http://www.hydeunited.co.uk/teams/94781/match-centre/2-35913

TOTAL === P43 W15 D11 L17.

If the anonymous editor would like to provide actual evidence of claiming it to be P44 W18 D11 L15 I'd love to see it. Xenomorph1984 (talk) 21:20, 12 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for posting this. Bear in mind that matches that ended as extra-time draws should be listed as such, regardless of how the penalty shoot-out finished. Also, The IP is adding unsourced statistics for Kelly's Derry City playing career. Mattythewhite (talk) 21:33, 12 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Good point regarding the penalty shoot outs, I've cross checked this on the football task for and yes you are correct. So that's P43 W14 D14 L15. I'll update this now. Just think, our anonymous friend with his fake wins has inadvertently led to a decrease in Kelly's already pitiful win ratio!Xenomorph1984 (talk) 22:03, 12 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Statistic editing[edit]

So the editing of these continues with fake stats. If its not Malibob (who I suspect might be either Darren himself or his mum owing to the only edits this person makes is to this page) then its non registered IP's - but all have them same lies - every time Hyde draw or lose they are edited as a win!

Today saw the removal of the original job with Hyde (Played 6, lost 6) and merging with his 2nd stint at Hyde but those 6 defeats not mentioned. Xenomorph1984 (talk) 16:52, 31 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Based on the sources (Hyde United fixture and result records)[1][2] [3]

2016-17: P52, W20, D17, L15
2017-18: P57, W35, D15, L7
2018-19: P34, W14, D8, L12 (as of 06/01/19 after the 8-3 victory over Basford United)

This gives a total of P143 W69 D40 L34 for the second stint at Hyde.

(First role which should be classed as separate as he left the club but was then rehired was P6, W0, D0, L6. Xenomorph1984 (talk) 11:03, 6 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

As to be discussed with Delboy1966, the above is break down of results from 3 seasons up to 6th Jan 2019. Since there has been a further 3 fixtures (1 win, 2 loss). The total is there fro P146 W70 D40 L36. The first stint at Hyde is separate, he left at the end of the season and was reapointed in the summer. Its not a continuous role and should be separate. Darren's Managerial statistics At Hyde[edit]

Darren has been in charge of Hyde United from March 31st 2016 to present with no other manager being appointed or taking temporary charge for any games. So this should be one period of management not 2 periods. Most non-league teams renew a managers contact season by season, so do you count that as different periods of management? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Delboy1966 (talkcontribs) 22:06, 7 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Stats for the season 2016/17[edit]

You have put the stats as;

2016-17: P52, W20, D17, L15

I assume you have just gone down the fixtures and counted Wins, Loses and Draws. And have not considered that the drawn cup competitions went to extra time and/or penalties which we either won or lost. For that season;

League Cup - Drew against Glossop but lost on penaltiees.

Manchester Premier Cup - Drew against Salford but lost on penalties

Cheshire Senior Cup - Drew against Chester but won on penalties

Which makes the stats for that season;

P52, W21, D14, L17

Stats for the season 2017/18[edit]

Again i assume you have just counted from the fixture list win, loses and draws. Again drawn cup games would have gone to extra time and/or penalties.

You have 2017-18: P57, W35, D15, L7

For that season;

League Cup - Drew with Trafford but won on penalties

Cheshire Senior Cup - Drew with Stockport Town but lost on penalties

The stats should be;

P57 W36 L15 D5

Not sure where you have got the addition draw from. The full season stats by competition are;

League P42 W27 L11 D4

FA Cup P7 W5 L1 D1 (Warrington went to a replay after the draw)

FA Trophy P1 W0 L1 D0

MPC P3 W2 L1 D0

CSC P2 W1 L1 D0

League Cup P2 W1 L1 D0

Total P57 W36 L15 D5

Stats for the season 2018/19[edit]

To date;

League Cup - Drew at Runcorn Linnets lost on pens

Competiton P W D L

League 28 11 7 10

FA Cup 2 1 0 1

FA Trophy 2 1 0 1

Manchester Premier 1 0 0 1

Cheshire Senior 1 0 0 1

League Cup 3 2 0 1

Total 37 15 7 14 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Delboy1966 (talkcontribs) 22:50, 7 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Penalties[edit]

I accepted your reasoning for the counting as one single reign as apposed to two. With regards to the penalties. Yes because (and I personally think its mad!) a win or loss on penalties is still a draw. Penalties are not considered as part of the result. The result ends at the end of regular or extra time. Penalties whether won and progressed or lost and knocked out - its still classed as draw.

I revert your edit but kept the merged two stints (you are correct), I even checked some other caretakers such as Darren Moore and yes his tenures are merged for WBA.

See Heirro's record at the World Cup - W1, D2 in the Group stage. Then drew with Russia and lost on pens. His record is W1, D3, L0. Further evidence see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Croatia_national_football_team - Croatia record at WC. Listed as P7 W4, D2 L1. They won all 3 group stage games, Drew 2 going through on pens against Denmark and Russia. Beat England and lost to France. Xenomorph1984 (talk) 23:39, 7 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Referencing errors and removal of referenced material[edit]

I've again reverted a change to this article that changes and removes a significant amount of existing referenced material. The new edits are partially referenced, but also introduce a new referencing error for an undefined reference named "The Team: Darren". I don't think there's consensus about removing all this material and making the surrounding changes, so I'm starting this section to investigate the veracity of the proposed changes. -- Mikeblas (talk) 14:10, 29 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
