WP:DERRY[edit]

Gurney's place name keeps being changed back to Londonderry. I'm well aware of the naming dispute and would like to make a formal note that as per WP:DERRY, the name of the the city shall be "Derry" and the name of the county "Londonderry". Nearly all the changes are by IP or newly registered users, but it's still worth making note of it. I'm considering requesting an autoconfirm lock on this page as this is getting a bit out of hand now! UaMaol (talk) 21:28, 7 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I have this article on my watchlist now and I'll apply protection if it continues - though as he is in the news at the moment, I'd be reluctant to exclude unconfirmed editors just now. (It's late where I am and I'm off to bed shortly, but I'll look in again in the morning). Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 21:40, 7 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Actually it's just happened again, so I've protected for a few days - maybe it will quieten down when the news excitement subsides a little. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 21:55, 7 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Boing! said Zebedee:Thanks. That's saved me alot of trouble. And yes, it will likely blow over however this is an ongoing issue, although centering around when he plays tournaments. His background also explains the other abuse the article has gotten. UaMaol (talk) 00:12, 8 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
