210.4.11.162 (talk) 16:46, 11 December 2015 (UTC) Copypaste of entire article removed[reply]

Not done - As it clearly states in the instructions to submit an edit request:-
"Please don't copy the entire article into the request. ... If you copy the entire article into the request, you'll break navigation on the talk page, and another editor may remove your entire request."
This is not a "spot the difference competition" If you want to suggest a change, please request this in the form "Please replace XXX with YYY" or "Please add ZZZ between PPP and QQQ".
Please also cite reliable sources to back up your request, without which no information should be added to, or changed in, any article. - Arjayay (talk) 21:11, 11 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Davao death squadsDavao Death Squad – The group's proper name is WP:COMMONNAME, see for example [1], [2], or [3]. -- PanchoS (talk) 01:49, 10 May 2016 (UTC) --Relisted.  — Amakuru (talk) 15:16, 18 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • If there is one centrally organized group, not several de-facto independent of each other. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 05:41, 11 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • @Anthony Appleyard: I've no idea how they are internally organized. All I know (or actually found out) is that English-language WP:RS overwhelmingly refer to them as singular "Davao Death Squad". --PanchoS (talk) 12:26, 11 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The above discussion is preserved as an archive of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page or in a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

"Supposedly" "allegedly" in lede[edit]

Why? I don't think this is the regular way this would be written about. Human Rights Watch, I would have thought, is generally viewed as a credible source. I guess I might change it if I don't hear anything much here.

P.S. - not that it makes that much difference here in this article - the (appalling) fact of the murders by "death squads" is not really questioned. (whoever it is in detail - I've read articles on the murders under the Duterte Presidency where people where interviewed that basically operated ~ as individuals, and received bounties or something along those line)

Sean Heron (talk) 10:33, 20 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that "supposedly" in the lede is out of place, and comes with a connotation that may even not have been intended. I have made a go at updating the lede to strike a more neutral tone. Magic1million (talk) 18:54, 30 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Duterte's "constant denial" of involvement?[edit]

There's a paragraph in section 5.1 that reads:

"However, despite his earlier statements of support for the extrajudicial killing of criminals, Duterte has constantly denied any involvement in the death squad.(reference)"

I suppose there isn't enough context in this video to link Duterte to the death squad? Icedwater (talk) 08:44, 2 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
