Copied material[edit]

This edit, with the edit summary "Removed all material copied/pasted from dave-arch.com", removed approximately half of the article's information. I agree this was wholly in line with policy, but an alternative might be to copy edit some or all of that information so that it did not contravene copyright. In general I would agree with you, and I did copy-edit some parts so they could remain in the article, but as much of the information was in the form of lists of songs, tv programmes, films etc., it seemed simpler to remove them entirely at this stage rather than embark on an endeavour to source each one individually. I certainly won't object if someone reverts, copy-edits and finds reliable sources. Poltair (talk) 22:32, 13 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Many articles survive for months, or even years, with "lists of songs, tv programmes, films" etc. (that cannot, of course, be copy edited or paraphrased in any way) without any sources. I would have thought that Arch's own website would be one of the best and most reliable sources for such material here? Just an idea. Martinevans123 (talk) 22:41, 13 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
