Unencyclopedic Writing[edit]

This article (particularly the introduction to Megadeth, but there are more) is unprofessionally written. Though I don't have all the references myself to rewrite it, I urge the original author to redo it. I mean no offence by this, but if you don't believe me, just re-read it. I added a bit from an interview with HM. IronCrow (talk) 04:17, 28 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Is this really consistent with the reference: "Not only are the parishioners respectful (no bar fights, spilled drinks and foul mouthed hecklers in the crowd like many secular gigs full of rational people) but it’s a musical event my whole family participates in."? 15.203.233.80 (talk) 22:34, 30 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Megalife?[edit]

Someone's written that David now plays with a band named Megalife! This is obviously a joke so I have removed ot. If it's true then sorry... I doubt it though. 88.107.62.106 (talk) 04:08, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hail![edit]

He is also playing in a band called "Hail!" along with DeGrasso, Ripper Owens and Andreas Kisser. They've just finished a tour in South America (I attended their gig in Puerto Montt a couple of hours ago) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.95.73.95 (talk) 05:14, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Feud with Mustaine[edit]

The last sentence of the first paragraph under Feud with Dave Mustaine should be removed or updated. Per Ellefson's website bio he now writes, "Internationally acclaimed as former MEGADETH bassist, David's work has garnered him..." Therefore, the current statement on wikipedia is invalid. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Saulas (talkcontribs) 19:02, 30 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Biography in general[edit]

This whole article to me seems to be way too PoV-ish. "...Towards the end of his Megadeth career, Ellefson was not getting some of his material played for the band, which angered him.." is a perfect example. I think it needs to be cleaned up. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.144.179.34 (talk) 23:47, 28 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Flavor of Metal[edit]

acording to megadeth's page, megadeth is heavy metal speed metal thrash metal, and hard rock (which i believe is false)yet here it says he only playss heavy metal, speed metal, and thrash metal. is this or megadeth's article wrong? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.253.91.208 (talk) 19:51, 6 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Unnecessary info[edit]

Yes, it's true and sourced that Ellefson has officially rejoined Megadeth as its bassist, but is it necessary to mention this four times in the article, verifying three of them all of which are written differently? Anyway, I'll volunteer to make these changes. JRC3 (talk) 17:10, 11 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Religious views[edit]

Whether or not this is even an important section is, I suppose, up to the reader to decide, but parts of this section read like a section of the CBN newsletter rather than an encyclopedia:

' He wanted his kids to be brought up in the church, and after several incidents in the studio, that he thought was very strange, he felt God was calling him to come back to the church. After calling his wife and telling him that, she said, “well, I’m glad this is all happening, because the worship leader was asking if you could come sit in this Sunday because their normal bass player isn’t going to be able to make it this week. That’s when he decided, “Okay God, I get it”. And then started his entrance into the Christian Music Scene. Residence[edit]

On the 2nd of Januari 2011 his residence was changed from Scottsdale, Arizona to Burlington, Vermont. As far as I know he still lives in Scottsdale. Does anyone have any proof that he relocated? On the Megadeth on the Map (www.megadeth.com) it says "Home in the USA" -> David: Scottsdale, AZ —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.127.175.201 (talk) 15:09, 21 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Drug problems?[edit]

In the article Rust in Peace it currently says:
"In 1988, Megadeth [...] was [...] added to the "Monsters of Rock" European tour, but dropped out after the first show due to bassist David Ellefson's drug problems."
What's up with that? And how come none of this is mentioned in this article?
