Editing the main article[edit]

I have edited the article, aiming for a more objective tone, in addition to correcting details and adding information. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Nuke M (talkcontribs) 04:19, October 16, 2006.

Is this all you have on David Gates??? Pretty poor, incredible talent and deeply memorable body of work during the 70's counts for little huh? Some balance is needed here, I see 4 times as much swap space given over to forgettable one-hit wonder popsters from the '80s! —86.86.245.33 23:13, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The article says:
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
In 1967, Gates produced... A little over a year later, Gates and Royer got together with Jimmy Griffin to form Bread... The group was signed by Elektra Records, where they would remain over their eight-years as a recording act.
.
.
.
Bread disbanded in 1973, much to the surprise of fans and the music industry.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
So, doing the math, if Bread was formed in '68, and disbanded in '73, how is it that they had 8 years as a recording act? Mike 14:19, 15 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The photo appearing with the article is not David Gates of Bread, but David Gates, the author. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.77.42.3 (talk) 17:37, 18 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You must be kidding guys?! From this article I do not know even what kind of music this bloke plays, even less which of his works might be interesting. Imagine article on Picasso which doesn't mention why he is relevant! 89.172.46.63 (talk) 02:33, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Personal Life?[edit]

Did he have one?

People featuring in biographical articles usually do. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.176.214.202 (talk) 18:30, 14 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
