Irish surnames[edit]

Why is David's Irish surname (Mac an Uirlis) different from that of his father Tom (Ó Ceit)?

Looking at the other edits of the IP that added that, I'm guessing we're dealing with outright spoofery. As "Mac an Uirlis" gets only this page and dups via a google search, and would seem to literally mean, "son of the implement" (pardon my ham-fisted attempt at translation, there's a good reason I don't have {{user ga-1}} on my user page), I'm going to remove it on that basis. Whether we should replace it with a "correct" translation seems to me fairly questionable: so far as I know, no Irish version of his name is in common use, so it would seem like pointless reconstructionism, if not out and out OR. (Politicians may be an entirely different proposition, since presumably they'll have an Irish version in use in electoral and parliamentary material.) Alai 05:02, 15 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

New album title[edit]

I see on David's official site that his new album will be called "The Night Saver". I know it was to be called "Slacky Tidy" as this page says and don't know what happened that title. Since his forum board was attacked last week it is down, so I have no other information at this time, and no release date as yet.--JJ was here (talk) 20:07, 17 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
