Career[edit]

The article implies he became a Vice President at JP Morgan at the age of 22. Is this correct?88.189.155.8 (talk) 14:10, 29 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I believe so. He was definitely in his 20s.--EchetusXe 17:02, 29 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I had a look into this - apparently all fast track graduates were given the title VP when they arrived, so it didn't mean much other than he'd had the double first at Oxford and was thought of as a future star. But his achievements in the City in the following years certainly validated it. 76.24.213.0 (talk) 14:40, 30 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Expenses[edit]

I believe it relevant to include details of the much lower sums claimed following the requirement for MPs to submit receipts for expenses. According to newspaper reports, there was a dramatic fall and that implies (gross?) over-claiming in the past. Perhaps someone with knowledge of these facts will introduce them to the article.Segilla (talk) 20:29, 31 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It is more a question as to whether he was right to claim these sums given the relationship he had (or didn't) with his landlord. Kittybrewster 20:40, 31 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
If Laws had claimed correctly he would of have been entitled to £30k more than what he got, although he has now repaid it all and he would still be in the Cabinet, this was noted by Olly Grender. —Preceding unsigned comment added by MikeBeckett (talkcontribs) 17:21, 13 May 2011 (UTC) User:MikeBeckett Please do say 'Hi!' 17:24, 13 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Early life and education[edit]

Woburn Hill was the Junior School for St George’s and within the grounds of the main school – in effect they are the same school. See St George's College. Josephdreams (talk) 23:33, 1 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

- This poem(?) is perhaps the strangest burst of text I have seen on a Wiki page! What you are trying to say is, I suspect, that this odd little man grasped the opportunity to rush his Party into a very ill fitting marriage with an extremely right-wing Tory party to form what is essentially a Conservative Government. He then took a Government position which allowed him to preach thrift to the rest of us, promising nothing but cut backs and austerity and a much lower standard of living to the working classes of the UK, and increased poverty for the poor, whilst all along he had been pumping large amounts of taxpayers money into keeping his boyfriend in the sort of domestic luxury the young man had been used to. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.12.192.73 (talk) 10:49, 3 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Expand request on Political views[edit]

The section of this article on "Political views" has a tag on it saying that it requires expansion. Is this still needed? If it is what specifically is being looked for?— Rod talk 22:15, 12 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I dislike those expand templates, if someone wants to expand - simply expand - I usually just remove them. Off2riorob (talk) 17:25, 13 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
