Response to "notability" flag[edit]

I have added more information in line with Lennox's achievements during his time in early NSW. I personally believe that he is an important figure in the history of colonial NSW because he was the first significantly skilled mason to build long lasting bridges in NSW - keeping in mind that Australia's history can sometimes be on a much smaller scale than those of other countries around the world (owing to our small population and relatively recent founding as a nation), but no less important to the development of said nation. Photograph[edit]

it would nice to be able to get a photograph of the man the article is about, however as most historical photographs are probably held by libraries and the like, i'm not sure how easy securing use would be for something like wikipedia...so in the meantime i've put in photos of two of his more well known bridges, a perhaps more tangible image of what he was about. Not David Lennox[edit]

A few examples of earlier bridges than the Lapstone bridge creeping into the article.

These are examples not really related to the man himself. The only claim is that Lennox is the oldest surviving bridge on the mainland - so I'm not sure why we need to list earlier bridges - there could be quite a few if we continue this way. Any objections if I trim? --Inas66 (talk) 04:20, 21 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
